Sandy Jensen
Bridgewater, NJ
Sandy Jensen started singing professionally at 17.
In junior and senior high school, Sandy sang in a
variety of plays and was a member of her high school chorus and the touring
choir. With the guidance of Choral Director Bud Beavers, she made All State and
All Eastern Chorus.
This led Sandy to pursue Music Education for her
career. She majored in Voice at Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania. She is
certified to teach General, Vocal, and Instrumental Music at the Kindergarten -
12 levels. Currently she is
teaching at Netcong Elementary School, Netcong, NJ.
In High School, Sandy worked professional gigs with
Bud Beavers and then later The Moonbeams, who she stayed with into college.
While in college, Sandy was in a variety of musicals
and touring choir. Soon after
college, Sandy joined the band Reminisce, again as lead vocal. They performed at
The Still restaurant in Tranquility, NJ for two years in addition to many other
private events.
For a few years, Sandy tried her hand at acting in an
amateur theatre, Pax Amicus, in Budd Lake, NJ where she played the roles of
Guinevere, in Camelot, Maria, in the Sound of Music and Mrs. Darling and a
Pirate in Peter Pan.
For 13 years, Sandy was a lead singer in High
Society, an upscale wedding band. They played The Pierre in New York, and they
also played Jumbo Elliot's wedding (he played for both the N.Y. Jets and
Giants).
Sandy took a several year hiatus and has
recently joined The Symphonics. Sandy loves working with the guys. She says the
vocal harmonies are top notch, and she's having a lot of fun.
